Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore

The Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore. An event that I will likely never be able or want to do. But still that does not stop me from going down and pay this photo tribute to all these brave souls.

Hats off to these group of physically challenged particpants
Photobucket

Nothing can stop them, not even a flat tire

Or an out of control iron horse

This guy went all the way sans footwear
Photobucket
Hot! Hot! Hot! 2 cups of water to cool down
Photobucket

2 cups not enough? How about a whole bottle?
Photobucket
A sight for sore eyes and all the shacked guys!
Photobucket
Agony or Ecstasy?
Photobucket
It's a pleasure for this young lady!
Photobucket
More like agony for this poor chap
Photobucket
Finishing with Mummy!
Photobucket
All the Way!
Photobucket
No! This Way!
Photobucket
All prepared for the hot hot weather!
Photobucket
Nobody ain't going to block my view of Daddy!
Photobucket
Finished at last and a TLC moment from the Mrs
Photobucket
Aiyoh now got to brave the traffic to go back!
Photobucket
Mummy, it's over!

  1. Koh, I want to know do you run with a camera in your hand or are you simply standing at the side?

  2. Hi Shiong, no lah for this event I was just taking pictures not running. This one is an Ironman event you know. I am a fragile nerdy wimpy old man - how to do this type of event?

  3. A 70-year-old gentleman who is still participating in triathlons actively was the reason why a fat, overweight, 38-year-old non-athlete like me took on the challenge of training for a triathlon earlier in 2010. 2010 has ended. I've clocked 2 sprint, 1 standard distance and 1 Long Distance triathlons, lost 10kgs, done wonders for my health and confidence. Come 20 Mar 2011, on my 39th birthday, I will take on Aviva 70.3 Half Ironman on home soil. Nothing is impossible, my friend. Not for a 70-year-old man, not for this fat 38-year-old, and certainly not beyond you.

  4. Hi Anonymous, thanks for your word of encouragement. But no thanks. A triathlon or ironman is definitely out for me.
